This is crazy. This is bizarre. This borders on absurd. Salty. Sweet. Crunchy. Chewy. Sound good? Yeah, let’s do this.
Step 1. Cut a hole in a box…no, wait, I was thinking of something else. Um, melt some candy corn in the microwave.
Step 2. Dip pretzels in it.
Step 3. Decorate them with cute halloween candy toppings. Let them set, and they’re red-ta-go. But be careful. The melted candy corn turns into a chewy caramel-like coating. Don’t eat them if you have braces. Consider yourself warned.
It’s good. It’s weird. It’s Halloween! Trick or Treat? Both, please!
Candy Corn-Dipped Pretzels
pretzels
decorative candy topping or sprinkles
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy corn: start with 1 minute in the microwave and continue in 30 second intervals until melted, stirring in between. Working quickly, dip the pretzels into the melted candy corn and lay on the parchment-lined baking sheet. After you dip each pretzel, sprinkle the decorative candy on top (the candy corn coating hardens pretty quickly). Let the pretzels set for 10 – 15 minutes or place in the refrigerator for 5 – 10 minutes. Store in single layers separated by parchment or wax paper in an airtight container. Enjoy!
