Woohoo, the Recipe Index is ready! You can now search for recipes by several different types of categories. I meant to do this a while back, but…well…umm…I procrastinated. C’est la vie! This blog is and always will be a work in progress. Still, accomplishments must be celebrated! Let’s drink up!
This fruity drink is intense. It’ll POW! BANG! KABOOM! your taste buds. It’s packed with tart flavor mellowed just slightly by mint and honey syrup. The color is just as vibrant as the flavor. It’s a real show stopper of a beverage. It’s a kid-friendly drink, but can quickly and easily be made into a more grown up version – just add a shot of your favorite booze to each glass and violà, it’s cocktail time!
Lemon juice, lime juice, honey syrup and blackberry juice mixture
You can top it off with club soda or sparkling wine or a shot of gin, vodka, tequila…
You can mix it with iced tea or blend with ice cream for a fruity shake
Or you can stick a straw in it and call it a day
Blackberry Lemon-Limeade
2/3 cup honey
1 2/3 cups water, divided
2 heaping cups of blackberries, plus more for garnish
1 Tablespoon sugar
handful of mint leaves, plus more for garnish
1 cup fresh (or frozen) lime juice
1/2 cup fresh (or frozen) lemon juice
For the honey syrup, pour the honey and 2/3 cup of water into a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring to combine. Remove from heat and set aside to cool or place in the refrigerator to cool faster.
In a blender, puree the blackberries with the sugar and mint. Add the remaining 1 cup of water and blend until well combined. Strain mixture through a fine mesh strainer. You should have about 1 1/2 cups blackberry juice mix.
In a pitcher, add the lemon juice, lime juice, blackberry juice mix, and honey syrup; stir to combine. Serve over ice and garnish with blackberries and mint leaves. Cheers, enjoy!
This looks so good!!
Thank you so much!
